Photos of the Month — July 2014

Everyone deserves a holiday. And that holiday usually includes sunbathing on the beach, constructing a sand castle, or eating local lobster for dinner. We’ve culled our collection this month for images of scientists with their families and friends enjoying time off at their favorite beaches, lakes and summer escapes. Photos in this month’s gallery document lobster boils, taking dives into a lake, and the ever-changing fashion trends of bathing suits. Please enjoy this featured selection from our historical photos collection. To see more images like these, type the words “beach,” and or “swimming” in the search engine.
